PS4 Modding/Hacking – Exploit, Jailbreak, CFW

Those of you who think a PS4 Jailbreak or a Custom Firmware would exist are wrong. Hackers and Developers found a way to inject own code (Exploit) through a vulnerability in Firmware 1.76 to let end users test Linux or enable Debug Settings on Retail consoles. The PlayStation 4 is hacked but that doesn’t mean a Jailbreak is possible yet. No one in the scene is able to run dumped (decrypted) games. To create a CFW on Firmware 1.76 it is more required, it is not enough just to have the Keys !

Why only Firmware 1.76 ? This Firmware-Version has a security hole in the WebKit source code which is patched in all higher Firmware-Versions. Developers work on this Firmware to search more infos about the security (SAMU, Sandbox…).
A Downgrade from a higher Firmware is not possible yet, so people have to wait if someone of the known scene Devs will find more to reach the finish.

You will find a lot of fake sites if you search for PS4 Jailbreak/PS4 CFW but these sites only claim to have real files. Forget about a 4.01 CFW, if we still can’t extract any inner Firmware PUP, how would it be possible to create a CFW on the actual Firmware which has no working Exploit yet ?
